CSBC Church Music Workshop South

--

On Saturday, February 29, 2020, I had the privilege of leading three sessions on the Spiritual Life of the Worship Pastor as part of the California State Baptist Convention Church Music Workshop South on the campus of Gateway Seminary in Ontario, California. A brief synopsis and the slides for each session can be found below.

Crafting the Soul: Developing Personal Spiritual Habits for Godliness

This session examined the spiritual life of the worship leader. Specifically, we discussed various examples of spiritual disciplines and how these God-given tools can be used to help form us into the image of Christ.

Leading and Discipling Worship Team Members

We are called to be good stewards of the people God has placed in our worship ministries. In this session, we discussed the responsibility and the opportunities that worship leaders have in helping people discover and use their giftedness for God’s glory and for the benefit of the church.

Shepherd Your People Through Music & Worship Leadership

This session discussed the Worship Leader’s role in pastoring and shepherding his congregation. We talked about the formative power of the Gospel in our corporate worship services and discussed how the music we choose has the power to shape the mind and guide the heart in worship.
